1^st Organizing Committee Meeting, Gulf Hotel, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain

The chairman called for the first meeting of organizing committee which included conference chairmanship, advisory committee, technical committee, registration committee, exhibition committee, publicity, logistics committee, sponsorship committee, and treasurer. It was the kick off meeting of all conference activities where objective of the conference was discussed and all roles and responsibilities were assigned to each committee. Also, Dr. Ali Al-Omair the former Kuwait Minister of Oil was appointed as the advisory committee chairman. The theme of the conference was then discussed and agreed upon which will be “Improving Chemistry – Road to a Sustainable and a Safer Future”. Other items were discussed related to the sponsors, technical program, targeted audience, and expected exhibitors.
