Course description

In this course, you will learn what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, explore use cases and applications of AI, understand AI concepts and terms like machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, and Fuzzy logic. You will be exposed to various issues, concerns surrounding AI, and get advice from experts on how to use the AI in the Oil Industry. You will also demonstrate AI in the Oil Industry in action with a mini-project.

The trainee will understand the AI concepts, terminology, and terms and will take part in exercises and group work building on an AI system and apply it to the field of the Oil Industry.

    Dr. Mohammad Faisal Naji is an assistant professor in the department of CSE and the Head of Center of AI & Robotics (CAIR) at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait. Dr. Mohammed received his MS and Ph.D degrees from King Saud University in 2012 and 2016 respectively. Dr. Mohammad worked as an assistant professor and supervisor of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the college of applied computer sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mohammed is also an artificial intelligence and robotics consultant at the Artificial Intelligence Center of Advanced Studies (Thakaa), and the Center of Smart Robotics Research (SC2R), King Saud University. Dr. Mohammed won the President of the Republic of Yemen Youth Award for the Applied Sciences Branch for the year 2013, as well as many scientific and research awards and medals. Dr. Mohammed’s research is currently focusing on the use of robots and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of life and find innovative solutions. Dr. Mohammed was involved in more than 13 scientific-funded projects and has published more than 70 research articles, books, and patents.
